Who we are, what we do and who we work for:

D2 Associates Limited is an intermediary, between you and the insurers whose policies you buy. We endeavour to provide the best possible choice of products from a wide range of insurers on our websites. We seek to offer helpful advice on general insurance matters, but will not advise you on which particular products, services or supplier to purchase from. Responsibility for deciding whether or not to purchase any of these products or services lies entirely with you. If for some reason we are unable to offer you a quote online from one of our insurers, we will offer you the option of being referred to a partner broker who should be able to assist with finding a quote. If you take up this option we may receive an introductory commission. We strive to offer you a choice in relation to insurers, coverage and price but point out that we act as an agent of the individual insurers in relation to key areas of the buying and fulfilment process. We act as an agent of the insurer, to collect and hold premiums. As such you have additional protection in that premiums paid to D2 Associates Limited are deemed to have been paid to the insurer. When you decide to buy one of the products from D2 Associates Limited and pay for it, your coverage is bound with the insurer concerned and in this respect we also act as an agent of the insurer.

The insurance quotes you receive from this site

All initial quotes are indicative and based upon the information you provide, however, certain conditions apply which you must be able to comply with and verify. Quotes may vary once you have provided all the details required. If you fail to disclose any relevant information at the time of obtaining a quote you may invalidate your insurance policy. You must tell us about any potential claims that you are aware of and ensure that all the information you provide is accurate and not misleading. Some specialist schemes and products will be marketed using a specific brand name and websites (i.e. domains). These products may be underwritten and provided by one or more specific insurers and in these instances we will make it clear who the policies are underwritten by. In other instances D2 Associates Limited will present you with a number of competitive quotes from our panel of insurers. The quotes will be presented to you, enabling you to choose the right cover and compare prices between different insures before purchasing. Quotes will provide you with at least the level of cover you have requested, others may provide more cover than you requested. Prices quoted are for the total (gross) premium charged, include Insurance Levys and the commission that D2 Associates Limited earns from the sale. You are responsible for reading all the relevant policy documents (which is available on each website) carefully before buying any insurance policy. It is your responsibility to decide whether the product or service is suitable for your circumstances. Quotations are only valid at the time that they are given.

The insurance policies you can buy from this site

Unless stated otherwise, the minimum period of cover that you can buy with a policy displayed on the D2 Associates Limited website is 12 (twelve) months.  Once you have selected the product you want, D2 Associates Limited will, at the point of sale, issue you with a policy on behalf of the insurer. Your policy and any related documents will be emailed to you.
You may purchase an insurance policy through D2 Associates Limited online by credit or debit card. The price you pay includes total (gross) premium, Insurance Levy and credit card charges if applicable and the commission or fees D2 Associates Limited earns from the sale. Your insurance cover and subsequent policy changes will start once your payment has been validated online. If your payment is invalidated your purchase will be incomplete and insurance cover will not be in place. If, following completion of your purchase of a policy or coverage change, your payment is rejected, we will contact you to ask you to re-submit payment. If this is unsuccessful we will cancel the policy with effect from inception of the policy or the coverage change. D2 Associates Limited may also enter into agreements with partners to enable us to offer premium financing to you.

The commission and fees that D2 Associates Limited earns

D2 Associates Limited earns a commission on each policy and change of cover that you purchase through our website. The commission rate charged varies by type of policy or scheme and insurer. D2 Associates Limited will also earn a commission on any premium financing arrangements. At times we may offer a discount, which will reduce the commissions we would have earned from the policy. Changes to your insurance cover could result in an adjustment to your premium. Where refunds are due, we will make the required payment to you within 14 (fourteen) days. Please note that any policy changes you make will incur a fee up to a maximum of €30 per change. You will be advised how much the total policy change fee is. Renewing your policies with D2 Associates Limited

If possible, we offer renewal terms with your existing insurance company and also the opportunity to receive alternative quotes through the D2 Associates Limited websites. We will start the renewal process at least 30 (thirty) days before the expiry date of your policy. If there have been changes to your circumstances, you will be requested to indicate what those changes are and to obtain new quotes based on your new details.

Making a claim on your insurance policy

When you have purchased your insurance cover the documentation required to make a claim will be made available to you. To make a claim under your policy you will deal directly with the insurer. D2 Associates Limited has no liability to you for the settlement of any claim under your policy, including payment of the claim. D2 Associates Limited will monitor the performance of its insurance company partners in the handling and payment of claims to its customers.


Insurers have the right to cancel this Policy at any time where there is a valid reason for doing so by giving the Insured 30 days notice in writing.

Valid reasons may include but are not limited to:

  • Where Insurers have been unable to collect a premium payment from the Insured. In this case Insurers will contact the Insured in writing requesting payment by a specific date. If payment is not received by that date Insurers will cancel this Policy.
  • Where Insurers reasonably suspect fraud.

The Insured has the right to cancel this Policy at any time giving Insurers notice in writing.  Any return of premium will be calculated in accordance with the Policy cancellation terms.
